Enjoying Solitude

Have been enjoying solitude whilst quietly immersing myself in the art of cutting paper.

  1. It even looks meditative from here! They are stunning, and I have been cutting letters...very gentle and quiet I find as well.

    1. Hi Fiona, it is a meditative task isn't it, especially when there is no deadline looming and you are free to experiment and explore.

    1. Hi Susanne, lovely to see you here. Thank you for your nice comments :)
I do enjoy visiting your blog, so thank you for having a peak at mine too. As you can see, I'm not as consistent as you with posts or content, but I find it is a nice way to be creative and share and find images and ideas.

  3. Wow Rob....that is amazing....how do you do it, with a scissors or Stanley knife?....or something else. It looks painstaking, but beautiful. Cheers, Ellen

    1. Hi Ellen, have been experimenting with different kinds of scalpels. Early days yet, there is plethora of interesting artists working with this kind of stuff when you scratch the surface. Another avenue of paper arts for me :) Been a long time since I played around with a paintbrush.

  7. How beautiful these are - so precise and graphic - and just the hint of the possibility of wonderful shadows....

  8. Thankyou CS, shadows can be so important in making something interesting, can't they? I suppose in the case of cut paper, they help soften the sharpness of it all.
