Wasn't looking for new furniture, but this was
such a bargain I couldn't leave it behind.
I absolutely love it - nice and quirky.
The guy in the delivery dock couldn't believe
anyone would choose to live with something this hideous!
Lucky he's not a salesman!!!
It's little feet protectors are still on as it won't have a
proper place to sit until we have finished our renovations,
which have only just begun!
So for now it will sit in front of my overstuffed bookshelves,
in my already overflowing work area
where I can enjoy it's company.
How unusual. I wonder what it's history is?
ReplyDeleteHi Deb, it's brand spanking new, dreamed up in some quirky designer's imagination!!! But one of the things I love about it is that it looks like it's got some history behind it.
DeleteQuirky's the word. Are they photos incorporated into the back?.......perhaps you could replace them with your granny and other memorable rellies as time goes by. Where on earth did you find it?...... I can see how it could grow on you. Cheers, Ellen
ReplyDeleteThe images are photographic screen print on linen. Surprisingly, I found it at - Freedom furniture!
DeleteI like that it looks like it has a bit of history already though.
Freedom! I thought it was an antique. Ha! I still really like it. Quirky, as you say.
ReplyDeleteIf you sit there, you have history at your back! It is sittable or is it like an art piece?
ReplyDeleteA bit of both I think Julie, a piece of art when it is vacant and a nice comfortable chair when it is occupied (>u<), you probably wouldn't want to spend hours watching TV in it, but nice to sit in and read a couple of chapters of a book.
