Journeying back to Japan

 

This time next week:

we will be back in Japan

enjoying the time together, the history, the traditions, the natural beauty, the people, the food,

the shinkansen, the shopping, the fun, the change in climate,

most of all the adventure and travel.

Buckle Up

 

Interesting old found obejcts

which have been lying around out of sight

and unappreciated, 

brought to light and arranged,

hopefully, aesthetically.

The Pointing Finger

 

"The Moving Finger" immediately sprang to mind whilst 

thinking of a title for this one but couldn't

use that because Agatha Christie

already took that title!

Not quite dark & mysterious enough to be Steampunk

but Tesla is definitely popping into my mind lately

especially since I found my beloved's

copper electrical wire stash (^o^).

Playing around with old bits and pieces

of metal and paper,

trying for a beaten vintage look.

Anyone noticing a pattern here?

I do love a bit of text in artwork

and am having immense fun playing around 

with different ways of utilising nails and letters

in my works.

Trying for a bit of a retro feel with this one.

Cut pages and lots and lots of lovely, wonky tacs

Mucking around with cut circles, gold leaf and copper wire.

Like a big fat worm moving from one tunnel to the next.

Perhaps I should have entitled it "As the Worm Turns".
